Institutional / Commercial / LEED Gold
Project brief
Public Works and Government Services Canada required site and landscape planning for its 690,000 sq. ft., 15-storey office complex in downtown Gatineau — one of the largest federal government office buildings in the National Capital Region. The project involved a new tower incorporated with existing buildings in downtown Gatineau, including renovation of and integration with the existing Scott Building, a heritage structure. The scope included a green roof and required landscape planning that met LEED Gold certification standards while integrating the new development into the established downtown Gatineau streetscape. The heritage context and multi-building coordination added significant complexity to the site planning process.
Gino's role
Landscape planning and tender documents for the full site, including the new tower, heritage building integration, green roof, and streetscape.
